Arms of Love

When do you feel closest to God?

I usually feel the closest when I worship. It doesn't matter if I'm in my car singing along with a P&W CD, in corporate worship or at home playing my guitar. That is when I feel most connected. That is when tears come to my eyes. That is when I feel awe struck.

How about you? Is is time spent in silence, praying, journaling, helping others???

I would have to say for me its when I am outside in the worlds nature..... I see all the beauty that God has created and I find it stunning...

I will never forget the very first time I saw the ocean. I knew then that God is something much bigger than we could ever dream....

That brought tears to my eyes.

That's a different question. He's talking about conversations with God. I'm talking about feeling close to God. Sometimes a word never has to be said.

I feel closest to God when I hear peoples testimonies. There are so many amazing stories out there about people coming to Christ. It removes any doubt that tends to get into my head about this life. I feel closest to God through other people...community is a HUGE thing.

1) during worship (probably a given); 2) seeing Christ reflected by those closest to me.

1) when I am in Cass Park and realize that for some reason, God blessed me with so much and I wonder if I am honoring Him with the gifts He gave me, and thank Him for the beautiful life I have.

2)in the times when life seems out of control, things are taken out of your life, and the circumstances seem too overwhelming...in those times, I realize that if it is just God and me, I will be ok, because that is all I need.
