What A Week

For the past couple days I've had some serious pain coming from my mouth. The pain was coming from the back of my mouth so I could have been anything from a cavity to wisdom teeth.

I was able to see a dentist (Dr. Eva Goriee - who is great and I would highly recommend) at the last minute. I met her at her office at 6:30 Monday night. She started with all the necessary tests and x-rays.

It took her about 10 minutes to get through all the things wrong with my teeth, haha! The pressing matter was a severe need of a root canal. So she started in on the drilling. Two and a half hours later she was done and I felt like a car just drove through my mouth.

So as I'm getting ready to leave Dr. Eva asks me when can I come to back. Friday was the only day available...so that is when I'll be getting all four wisdom teeth yanked!

Please pray for my mouth to heal and pray Kelly as she deals with me!

Stock up on soft foods. Applesauce, yogurt, ice cream, etc.

That's all I was able/wanted to eat when I was recovering from having all 4 wisdom teeth removed. :o)

Are you going to be awake or on an IV for the procedure?

I pray that God guides the doctor's hands and mind. Also that your recovery is quick.

Holly,

Not sure whether I'll be awake or have an IV. I'm hoping they knock me out but I've heard when you are out they are a lot more physical when extracting the teeth. It seems like a no win situation!

Thanks for the prayers!

Well, I am sorry for your pain! That sucks!!! I had three wisdom teeth pulled (did not have a fourth) and I told them to put me out COLD! I highly recommend that...even if he was standing on my face to pull them out, I did not feel a thing! The only thing I remember is the dentist asked if I wanted to take my teeth home with me, and that was it. I hope everything goes well, and make sure they give you as much pain meds as possible. P.S. Ask her about this anti-swelling pill. They gave it to me and it helped with pain and I was also able to talk within the day. Dan

We hope that everything went well with the second procedure! Did you bring those honkers home with you? You can get a LOT of money from the Tooth Fairy for Wisdom teeth!!!
