Four Months and Flying
Our baby girl is four months old! I took her for her four month check-up today. All is well...she is a healthy, growing little peanut. She weighed in at 12 lbs. 13 oz. and measured 24 inches long. She is staying right in the 25-50% range. She had to get another dose of shots today which is no fun but I think she handled it well. I was a proud mommy. She only cried for a bit and seemed to be feeling good afterwards...that is until 8pm hit and the tears started. Everytime her legs moved she would scream. We could tell they were hurting her so bad. Ash and I could hardly stand it. A little Tylenol and a feeding and she is sleeping wonderfully right now. I can only hope her little legs don't wake her up in the middle of the night.
Today while getting a bath she discovered that she can get her left big toe into her mouth and with every chance today it was in there.
This past week marked a milestone for Ella. She traveled on an airplane for the first time. Ash had to go to Phoenix for a business trip so Ella and I tagged along. I wasn't about to let him head to warm weather and leave us here to freeze:) Ella did great on the plane ride. Luckily she slept almost the whole way there and back. Her ears never seemed to bother her so I was very thankful.
Phoenix was a very cool place to visit. Ash and I were amazed by the mountains and cactus! While there we were so happy to be able to hang out with some friends of ours and their parents who live in Arizona. They were a blessing to us! They were so gracious to hang out with Ella and I so we didn't go stir crazy in the hotel. I think the highlight of Ash's trip was playing golf...at what he says was the most amazing golf course he ever has played on.
Here's to hoping this horrible cold weather goes away very soon!!!
